About Legendary Arabians
Legendary Arabians was founded by Betsy Teeter and Sharon Byford-Ruth. Betsy's background is in sales and marketing. Sharon is author of the book, The Arabian: A Guide for Owners. Both women have owned Arabian horses for many years.
The mission of Legendary Arabians is to help perpetuate and promote the bloodlines of the specific CMK bloodlines that produced Legendary's champion Arabian sport horse Aul Magic+/. His multitude of show and dressage titles include twice U.S. Reserve National Champion (First and Second Level Dressage); USEF National Champion Horse of the Year, Arabian Dressage; and winner of the USDF All Breed Award (First and Second Level Dressage, Arabian Division). Aul Magic+/ also was the first Scottsdale Champion Sport Horse In-Hand Stallion, scoring an extremely impressive 86.5 points overall, with a score of 9 of 10 points for movement.
Aul Magic+/ is registered as a Trakehner as well as a purebred Arabian. He has the honor of being one of only two Arabian stallions (from many who have been inspected by the the American Trakehner Association) to be approved to sire registered Trakehners.
In the Arabian show ring, Aul Magic+/ was a multi-champion in English Show Hack, English Side Saddle, Country English Pleasure, Native Costume, and Sport Horse Under Saddle classes at Class A and Regional Championship shows. He achieved his show wins in one brief year of showing at the national level, during which he was also shown in open dressage competition and captured two U.S. Reserve National Championships in Dressage at the Arabian Nationals.
The fact that Aul Magic's wins were achieved at age sixteen after only brief training is a testament to his versatility, work ethic, conformation and movement. These qualities are no lucky accident, however. They are genetic traits inherent in the bloodlines featured at Legendary.
At Legendary, our goal is to continue to produce superior Arabian and part-Arabian horses through preserving and expanding the specialized bloodlines that produced Aul Magic+/. Because matings are carefully planned and based upon both pedigree (genotype) and individual excellence (phenotype), our small but select breeding program is producing world-class Arabian sport horse prospects.
